Greenbuild restored this old 4000sf Victorian home in the historical district of Ditmas Park Brooklyn.
The project included full gut and interior renovations including 5 bathrooms, custom kitchen, powder room, mother daughter suite, lofted cathedral ceilings in the attic master bedroom plus four additional bedrooms on the second level. All new landmark approved windows and 6” dense packed cellulose insulation on exterior walls. New asphalt roof shingles and 14 inches of blown in cellulose insulation and Rockwool combined on roof. All new electrical and mechanical upgrades including new 12 Mitsubishi mini split units. All new Hardwood floors throughout. New molding and trim details. New attic staircase. New rear deck and rebuilt extension. New electrical 3 phase service. Restoration of all exterior trim, wood trim details, front porch and cedar siding .
Challenging part was meeting landmark specifications while creating a modern well insulated home to meet current energy standards.
